Employment Law

In the course of our small business and corporate practice, our firm has also represented both employees and employers in the following areas.

Non-Competition Agreements – We prepare and review agreements, sometimes as part of our legal services to sellers of small businesses, between a business owner and an employee to protect the business owner’s interest in its proprietary information as well as to allow the employee to continue to work in his field should his employment end.

Severance Agreements – Do you need or have you been given an employment contract? We prepare and review agreements required by employers to be signed by a terminating employee establishing severance rights, obligations, and benefits.  A well-prepared agreement will protect both the employee’s and the employer’s rights.

Employment Contracts – We prepare and review agreements between employers and employees to establish the terms of employment for both the employer and employee.  We can also review existing employment contracts to help you understand your rights and obligations under such contracts.
